about

From the personal Facebook profile of Paolo Lippe 5 March 2023:

As often happens to musicians who play in a band, even yours truly composed very rare solo songs. This happened during the various exiles linked to the civil service (Avezzano) and to university studies (Chieti, Francavilla al Mare, where, among other things, part of "The Smell of The Rainy Air" was recorded). Now, after 32 years I discover that the cassette produced at the time by Rodolfo Protti's experimental, avant-garde and industrial music label "OLD EUROPA CAFÈ" is cataloged on Discogs, two enthusiasts own it, as many as 13 want it and it is listed at 40.00 EUR. !!
The cassette was attributed to ZOOW (that would be me 😉) and is titled "Sounds From Lozère". La Lozère is a French region that I visited several times in those periods, together with my fiancée Michelle, as I was literally obsessed with a film that came out in those years or shortly before, BETTY BLUE, shot in those places in central-southern France.
Like all the material I've produced, it lies in the clusters of one of my Hard Disks, by the way already remixed and remastered, if I remember correctly in HD....
Today I upload it to BANDCAMP and I will make it available for streaming and purchase of the HD files. Naturally this is strictly analog material (Tascam Portastudio 2) digitized at high resolution, I don't remember if at 48 or 96 kHz, but you'll soon know. I'm also publishing this post on the Discogs group, certain that those who have desired the cassette without finding it can enjoy these ancestral songs, some of which are crazy and irreverent; two of these are in Italian: STUFF NOT TO BELIEVE. I myself found it hard to believe when I listened to the tape a few months ago.
Stay tuned and as usual, good music listening ❤️💚🍀
