Left-To-Live is the title of the fifth album of the Italian psychedelic-progressive rock band Twenty Four Hours. The songs were designed in the period between March 2014 and August 2015, although the crucial phase of composition took place in the same Trullo, in San Marco di Locorotondo where in 1995 was composed and recorded the third album of the band Oval Dreams. However, the following arranging and production steps took place in the period between March and July 2015 between Fano (PU) and Preganziol (TV), Italy.

For the first time the band has turned to an external artistic producer, Andrea Valfrè, former producer of Le Orme and Lunapop, who took care for the arrangement of five of the twelve songs of the album and mixed the whole work in the analog domain. Mastering has been instead entrusted to Marco Lincetto, record producer and label owner of "Velut Luna" that in 2012 published the "audiophile" vinyl edition of Oval Dreams.

The album will be released on compact disc in April 2016 by Musea, the French label of progressive rock historically linked to the band since 1998,[1] while from March 29, 2016 the album is already available on iTunes [2] and by March 30 on Deezer [3] and Spotify [4]

The themes of Left-To-Live, which is announced by the band as a classic concept-album, are essentially social, but are faced with a dreamlike-paradoxical approach; the band in fact asks itself: "If all mankind had only 24 hours left to live, what memories would pass in his virtual mind before final passage?" The cover, a collage of powerful images, evocative of the great human tragedies, from the Inquisition to the great genocides, from the Crusades to the Jihad, from the extermination of the American Indians to the atomic bomb, from deforestation to cyber bullying, tells us just the "flash" that humanity would have before the final act. And there are not good memories or concessions to happy events, even in the texts of the most representative songs of this album, except for some references to love, and to an ethereal sister telling of his virtual family, as if they were the only lifeline, the only slender thread of hope, before the inevitable denouement.

The second track on the album, "Sister Never Born" is inspired by the last novel by Francesco Carofiglio, "Voglio vivere una volta sola" and its video, released on October 31 of 2015, ranked among the best progressive songs together with Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, now launched into a prolific solo career and Steve Hackett of Genesis on the English Teamrock.com web magazine.[5][6] On 2015 Christmas Eve however, it was released the video of the 3rd track on the album, "That Old House" ,[7] while at Easter it was released the video of the first song of the album "Soccer Killer", dedicated to the 13 children executed by ISIS jihadists on January 12, 2015 in Mosul, Iraq for watching a football game on television.[8]

Track Name: SOCCER KILLER
When I was a child, soccer was my life
And if I knew I could play, I'd gladly go to school
And they were not all rosy at that time
(but) as long as we could play we were cool

This was the happiest thing
that could happen in my little life

May children play and be happy
that's the way it should be
Iraqi children should be happy
such a simple truth to see

And they woke up to a nightmare,
and didn't wake up any more
Their favorite game had become
Assassin for sure!

Today I'm old and wise, soccer is unfit
And if I know I can play, I gladly sing a sad song
And they are not all rosy today
(but) as long as they could watch they were cool

This is the worst thing that
could ever happen, children murdered for nothing
Track Name: SISTER NEVER BORN
I am the sister, never born
I observe, all my darlings
and my brothers, play with me
also mama, tells me stories
and my father, can just trust me
when they sleep, I'm awake

the space between my lives
something is moving inside
the space between my lives
a cold sensation in your mind
as the result of a lot of imitations
we are trapped in limitations
try to step out of that no-way street
changing the pattern of relationship

I am the sister, never born
all my life, is a joy
everyone of them, takes care of me
I watch over, my beloved darlings
the sea touches my chills, but I'm quiet as a sister never born
I'll miss you
when you'll forget me
Track Name: THAT OLD HOUSE
Finding in the cities' hell, finding gold, fishes and seeing your mouse, oh break break in saying
In our town never flag I've seen, have you ever tried to kill a little, have you ever thought it was alive and now it has died? I Know, as a lake without fishes, an ant, an ant, an ant, an ant, a little mouse, yet only a splendid isolation

It seems tea so good it seems a shit, it's very difficult to live in this world now, in this new world
Now the sun is blue and the train has finally started, Hello Goodbye, Hello Goodbye
Track Name: Ground # -3
I saw you at the market
walking straight and wound up
carrying a very large middle
for a very little girl like you,

Walking on The ground
Walking on The ground
Walking on The ground
Walking on The ground

We taste the waste to realize it
While rain blows up and pain still grows
Another time, another way to entertain them
Another baby forever damned

Ten years of innocence
brought up in loneliness
yet another bloody slaughter
without a gainly way to get by
Track Name: Magic
Scribble pages float down your window and fly
Every day and every time you close your eyes
You ‘d sell the world with your beautiful smile
Every day and every time you pass me by

Comes a time, a time in life
when you want just to be alive
every time you close your eyes
and every day you would just fly

Some They Loose and some they win
Some they fall right in between
I just lost my way to Magic
There's something Magic

I wonder if it‘s just another waste of time
Writing a song for you to believe in your lies
I think back of it all in a wink of an eye
Every day and every time you pass me by
Track Name: The Big Sleep
Got a ride trough a desert land
I was trying to choose the best trail
I’m not a winner nor a loser
just making money by a cocaine deal.

a coyote is wailing in the distance, not far away from me
I can hear his crying, chilling down my spine

four man with guns been chasing me
I' ve been trying to escape running down the hill
I’m not a winner nor a loser
for some cocaine they want to kill me

black vultures climb down in the distance
not far away from me
I can hear their crying, take my spirit for a flight
Track Name: Under My Pillow
A fool on the hill, was staring at me all the time
As the day passing by
There's no time for revolution, it’s time to get back
Back to the good old times
no answer nor solution across your universe
it’s time to pick up your bag
the dreams often lie and secrets are getting blind
take a ride into the night

It was just a moment, I got a little glimpse of your mind
Only who truly loves you, can understand the anger in your eyes

I was just waking up, hoping to choose the right day
The special one to take a flight
No time for revolution, it’s time you get back
Back to the good old times

It was just a moment, I got a little glimpse of your mind
Only who truly loves you, can understand the anger in your eyes

(...under my pillow..)
It’s just a narrow way, which tear us apart
I’ve been waiting you for a long time
I got a little glimpse of the secrets you hide in your mind
And now I’m sure to get the pain that lies in your smile

(...under my pillow..)
There are dreams that never lie
All the secrets are getting blind
Take a ride into the night
Take a flight into the sky
Track Name: Minimell (The gecko against the monster wasp)
On the hidden wall of the entering door
there's a fainting gecko who carefully retires
He has seen a monster wasp near the human light
And three guilty fat men, clumsily trying to kill her
never hoped, never unsaid, and now, after a while

There was a hard and incredible fight (no holds barred)
At some point you don't understand who succumbed
Baffino was decisive, with its deadly ultrasound
Finally, the disgusting repulsive wasp lost all its fetid liquid

Inside the virtual pool of an unresponsive childhood
there are many faint memories that hit you hard and strong
try to smile to you, but your eyes are still as the screams of the dog
never failed, never reborn, and now, after the smile

How do you feel now? Something has changed
How do you feel now? Something has changed
Is it getting better? What do you want now?
What do you need now? What do you need now?

I speak no more to you, since you're totally drowned
Painting that gecko with warm soil
Try to smile to me, my eyes speak cloudy
deserving intentions never dreamed, never confessed
And now... after the trial...
Track Name: Upkeep For Your Love
You showed me how to use - your eyes
You showed me how to enjoy - your smile
You showed me how to use - your youth
And you showed me how to scratch your pain

If you lived with a secret cry, and it would mean - that you must
always lie - you'd always lived that way - and be alone everytime

I've just been - asked to write - a love song for you
I've just been - asked to write - a love song for you

She’ll be your angel - she’s your whole life
She’s the most beautiful thing - you get - beneath the sky
How Do You feel Knifed

If you lived with a secret cry, and it would mean - that you must
always lie - you'd always lived that way - and be alone everytime

I've just been - asked to write - a love song for you
I've just been - asked to write - a love song for you

She‘s your angel; she’s your whole life
She’s the best friend you have on your side…..
She'll bet on you, She'll count on you,
She'll confuse you, She'll fool with you
she‘s your angel; she’s your whole life
She’s the best friend you have on your side…..
She'll bet on you, She'll count on you,
She'll confuse you, She'll fool with you
Track Name: Perfect Crime
I can see you're on your way
I'm looking at a Map
I'm tracking exactly
where you're going to
Can you hide it somewhere safe?
And when you've done
don't get involved …anymore

How can you just
stand there and cry?
why don't you go out
for a while
I want you to have
a wonderful time.
Right before you plan
your perfect cryme

La la la la la la
Pa pa pa pa pa pa
Track Name: My Friend, I Want To Kill You
You, you're a Friend of Mine
And you don't know why,
I want to kill you

You, you believe in my own god
And You don’t realize
Why I want to shoot you

You, you are my own son
And you don’t understand
Why I want you to explode in a market

It’s really time to try to fly away from this mortal chain
It’s really time to try to give more weight to the power of words
And It's really time to try
it's really time to fly away
it's time to lie for sure!
While it's not time to die my friend
