about

Harold and Maps is a song that was born in a particular situation, a sort of sad holiday, where two friends left together for a trip to France after having both suffered the end of a relationship.
This holiday actually turns out to be very funny due to absurd, paradoxical, grotesque and often hilarious situations. In fact, the first morning in the hotel is rendered almost unreal by the vision from the balcony of a football match where only young women are playing, marking the posts of the two goals with four telephones. But there are some dramatic situations such as that of a girl knocking on the door of their hotel room with her head completely bloodied.
The title of the piece comes from the fact that the two listened exclusively to the album "The Pearl" by Harold Budd and Brian and spent all their time studying the maps of their upcoming travels.
The holiday ends on August 9, 1986 with the historic Cure concert in Orange

lyrics

HAROLD AND MAPS (Words by Paolo Lippe, Music by Paolo Lippe and Sebiano Laselva)

The World is waiting for another trip
The sand is falling on my head for him
The girls play football like a telephone
go home… go home…
Harold and Maps go home

Hidden Time
Harold and Maps
I want to sleep
Harold and Maps
Harold and Maps

We all have seen you under cats and grey
We ever hope and look
We were born in a town
We have seen yeh
We have seen yeeeeeh

vai a casa... vai a casa...
Aroldo e le Mappe torna a casa

Tempo nascosto
Aroldo e le Mappe
Voglio dormire
Aroldo e le Mappe
Aroldo e le Mappe

Ti abbiamo visto tutti sotto i gatti e il grigio
Speriamo e guardiamo sempre
Siamo nati in una città
Abbiamo visto yeh
Abbiamo visto yeeeeeh
